Balancing the Military Lifestyle and a Family

For many folks today, managing a full time career and family life can be a daily balancing act. We are often reminded to keep work life at the office and family life in the home. This can be particularly challenging for military families, especially with last minute taskings and deployments. For Rear Admiral (RAdm) David Gardam, Commander of Maritime Forces Atlantic (MARLANT), his family faces these same challenges like so many other military families, often being pulled away on short notice for operations around the world.
