Military Families: Strength Behind the Uniform
The Halifax & Region Military Family Resource Centre (H&R MFRC) is proud to be a part of a strong military family community. The H&R MFRC is a registered charity, governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of a minimum of 51 per cent military family members.
We are here to support military families and members, especially during times when postings and deployments bring challenges. The H&R MFRC has several programs designed to support integration into new communities, and deployment readiness for families to ensure everyone is well prepared for whatever the CAF life throws your way.
The Halifax & Region MFRC serves military families in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Shearwater, Central and Northern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton, with service sites in Halifax, Shearwater and Sydney, Cape Breton.
An independent, registered charity the MFRC relies on community support to provide many programs and services. Corporate and individual donations provide resources so Canadian Forces members and their families can stay strong. The Halifax & Region MFRC’s official charitable number is 870705829 RR0001
