HMCS ST JOHN’S: Spa Day

Halifax Site

Attention St. John’s families, are you preparing for your loved one’s return from deployment? Many military families would agree that homecoming is the best part of the deployment process, however it may take some time and patience for life to settle back down again. Like other phases of the deployment cycle, the reunion phase has unique stressors. Please join us for our R2MR (Road to Mental Readiness) workshop. This workshop is similar to what your loved one will be receiving prior to homecoming and it is here that you will both gain the same language and tools for understanding the stress, joys, and challenges of reunion. Our workshop will cover all of these elements and provide you with resources and helpful practices on how you can share your feelings and have open and honest communication with your loved one prior to and during your reunion. Casual care will be offered for children 12 years and younger, with age appropriate reunion activities.

Date: Sunday, June 25 2017 from 1:30 – 3:30pm.

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 21 2017
