Welcome to Adult & Community Integration Services. Our goal is to promote personal growth, skills development, social and community involvement through a variety of programs, workshops. The MFRC provides a supportive environment for community members to reach personal goals, develop lasting friendships and get connected to their community. Standard First Aid and CPR Level "C" (English)

Shearwater Site

This two day program trains students in Standard First Aid and CPR. Students will gain knowledge and skills that enable them to recognize and respond to an emergency situation. Students receive certification after obtaining a minimum of 70 per cent on written and practical exercises.

Topics include:

  • Are you wasting money? If so, where are you wasting it?

Military 101

Halifax & Shearwater

Are you new to the Military Community and find yourself overwhelmed by all the new phrases, customs and traditions? Join us for an engaging workshop where you will meet other new military community members and learn more about the military lifestyle. This fun and interactive 2-hour introduction to the Military and Military Lifestyle will include topics such as: An overview of the Canadian Armed Forces, Rank Structure, Acronyms and abbreviations, Life on a military base, Local resources and so much more! Spouses and family members of CAF members are all welcome to attend.

Crafting Connection

Halifax & Shearwater

Come work on a project, and talk to other adults doing the same! Just about any type of craft is welcome as long as its mobile! Crocheting, cross stitch, beading, writing, sewing, needle work, knitting, spool knitting, tatting, embroidery, drawing, stamping, scrapbooking just to name a few! This event is open to military family and friends so embrace the opportunity to bring a few friends along and/or to make a few new friends in the community.

Coffee Connections

Coffee Connections is a growing community based program with military family and other community members. All are welcome and have the opportunity to get together and share some common experiences while socializing and interacting with others.

Throughout HRM

Once a month adults get together for a few hours on the town. What a great opportunity to get out of the house with other military members and their families and try something new. This program is open to all military members, their families and friends (19+).
