A Word from Our Executive Director
Welcome to the Halifax & Region Military Family Resource Centre website.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and all Halifax & Region MFRC staff, I’d like to welcome you to what we believe is the best MFRC in the country. We are very proud of the work we do and have strived to build our reputation as a military community family resource centre.
I am incredibly proud of the work our Canadian Forces members do at home and around the world. I also recognize that much of the strength that makes the CF member successful is support from you, their family, who also make sacrifices on behalf of our country. We recognize that military families are the strength behind the uniform.
The Halifax & Region MFRC believes that all military families are strong, independent, resilient and resourceful. We are constantly inspired by you. You manage many unique and challenging circumstances and opportunities. Our professional team at the Halifax & Region MFRC are committed to providing you with services and programs to address some of these circumstances.
Deployments and postings are just two of the unique experiences faced by military families. We have many programs, resources and most importantly a team of caring professionals to assist you whenever you are looking for information or support.

We also mail out the base newspaper, the Trident, on a monthly basis that provides you with information on MFRC programs for the upcoming month, information on special events, articles, as well as general information on base news.
