Henderson Sweetman Youth Centre
The Henderson Sweetman Youth Centre is located at the Shearwater Site of the Halifax & Region MFRC and is a fully supervised youth centre that is open daily, except during holidays.
Youth Services at the Halifax & Region MFRC are responsible for developing and maintaining programs, special events and workshops for youth ages 8 to 18 within our military community. Most of these programs and events are facilitated through the Henderson Sweetman Youth Centre.
Youth Services staff and volunteers are a dedicated team who ensure youth and families have a safe and structured environment available to learn valuable skills, discover new interests and connect with other youth and families.
New and Renewing Memberships
Annual Memberships are due in September each year.
Please pick-up your new or renewing membership form at the Henderson Sweetman Youth Centre. Credit Card and Debit payments may be paid with your membership form at the M.F.R.C. main reception desk, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Military – $25.00
Civilian – $30.00

To register for a program or activity, please contact the Henderson Sweetman Youth Centre at 720-1776. Please no registration through e-mails.
Monthly programs include craft corner, cooking in the kitchen, swim and pizza or bowling and pizza, Sports drop in, chess club, and other monthly planned activities, plus daily drop in hours.
